Skoda Octavia has been launched in
Indian on 10th June 2021. It is the fourth generation of Octavia
sedan manufactured by Skoda Auto (Volkswagen owned brand). It comes in two trims
Style and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The new Octavia price range from ₹25.99 lakh
for Style trim to ₹28.99 lakh for Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim.

The new Octavia cabin has an all-new layout. It has a
layered design dashboard with a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen and a
10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The front section has a new grille with
a chrome frame. It has Bi-LED technology new headlights and standard daytime
running lights. The new Octavia got a design change with knurled scroll wheels
on its new two-spoke steering wheel. The seats are finished in suede and
leather upholstery with some chrome highlights which gives premium appeal to
the cabin.

Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim comes with
features like wireless smartphone charging, 12-speaker Canton sound system,
keyless entry on all doors and front and rear parking sensors, electrically
adjustable driver and passenger seats with memory settings, two-zone climate
control, connected car tech and a digital assistant (named ‘Laura’).

Powertrain and visual appearance:
The new Skoda Octavia is powered by 2.0- litre,
four-cylinder, TSI turbo-petrol engine. The engine churns out 190hp of power
and 320Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic
gearbox with a shift-by-wire selector. The new Octavia gives a mileage of 15.81
km/l.
If we talk about visual appearance, the dimension of
the new Octavia has been increased. It is 4,689 mm long, 1,469 mm tall, 1,829
mm wide, and 2,680 mm of wheelbase.

The
new Octavia safety features include 8 airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)
with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability
Control), tyre pressure monitoring system, driver fatigue alert system etc.
Style trim comes in three colours: Lava Blue, Candy White and Magic Black.
While the L&K trim available in five colours: Brilliant Silver, and Maple
Brown additional to the available style trim colour.
